Axiom Microdevices, provider of the world’s first and only fully integrated CMOS power amplifier for GSM/GPRS mobile handsets, seeks a highly motivated CAD professional responsible for the maintenance and optimzation of the company's  CAD software suite and associated hardware.

Key Responsibilities:

Linux and Solaris System Administration, including maintenance and expansion of the company’s network infrastructure, monitor system storage, backup and disaster recovery.  Support and administration of the company’s CAD tools, Cadence – Custom IC design products,  Mentor Graphics – Back-end verification tools.   Maintain and develop Process Design Kit.   Design and verification of RF, mixed signal and digital integrated circuits using modified foundry provided PDKs.   Development of Skill routines, Pcells, etc. to optimize design flow

Required Skills:

Strong operating system background in Linux and Solaris.   Should possess a thorough understanding of all CAD relevant aspects of the IC design process, including RF, mixed signal and digital design flows and process    technologies.   Programming experience in SKILL code, and UNIX scripting.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Development of design and verification methodology.   Foundry rule deck maintenance and version control 

Required Experience:

Minimum 5 years in a similar CAD position with and IC design company, Minimum of BSEE or equivalent.

Desired Experience:

Familiarity with Assura, RFDE, ADS, Sonnet, and Asitic design tools.    Experience implementing Design Management tools.  Experience doing custom analog and RF layout, a plus
