Axiom Microdevices, provider of the world’s first and only fully integrated CMOS power amplifier for GSM/GPRS mobile handsets, seeks an RFIC design engineer.

• Extensive experience in the design of highly integrated RF circuits
• Circuit primitive designs should include LNAs, mixers, VCOs, PLLs, RF drivers, I-Q modulators
• Should have worked as a key team member, not necessarily a manager or group leader, but should be ready and willing to step up to the challenge of increased project responsibility within a dynamic environment
• Should have knowledge of semiconductor device physics
• Strong knowledge of high frequency circuit design and simulation
• Should have been involved in RF laboratory testing of his/her own prototypes
• Familiarity with commonly used RF laboratory equipment
• Knowledge of Cadence design tools
• Strong knowledge of physical design requirements
• Understanding of semiconductor packaging and production testing
• BSEE or equivalent

• Experience in the design of CMOS RF circuitry
• Strong knowledge of electromagnetics (EM) and related simulation methods and tools
• Experience in the design of RF circuits for the cellular telephone market
• Knowledge of A/D converters
• Knowledge of digital design techniques
• Cellular telephone system knowledge
• MSEE or PhD/EE
